The blouse turned out better than I thought. I think I have a copy in my personal stash that I may need to sew up for the summer. By the way my daughter loves your art. She wants to get into graphic arts and thinks your drawings "rock". We follow your blog avidly.

I love this blouse, it's gorgeous and you styled it so well. You look super fantastic!
Is the fabric cut on bias? If not, could you share if it has any openings. Curious to know.

The taffeta wasn't too bad to work with - just different from what I'm used to. All a learning experience! It would be fun to make something with structure AND volume out of it.

Hehe you're right about the sash. If you make the bow bigger it doesn't hang down. I don't think it went past the hem of the skirt when I wore it to the wedding.

Yeh I agree - it's so hard to find nice ones in the shops - especially ones that can tuck into skirts. They just don't make many of those!

Love the dress escpeically the fabric! I am not sure if the sash should be longer than the dress though.... looks a little funny to me.

I love the polka dot sash! It adds a nice touch. I am also taking more time in my sewing and just creating in general. The rest of my life is so busy that the creating part should be at a slower peaceful pace.

I love the polka dot sash. Once again you have combined 2 colours fantastically. I do like your resolution. I started taking time and being really careful that last year, but when a girl needs a dress yesterday being careful goes out the window ;) I am loving your shade of red especially against the green. The dress is gorgeous and you look stunning! I worked with poly tafetta once and found it quite enjoyable, bar the pressing bit!
I love the sash and the V back is awesome. Great work!
And I'm with you on taking more time to fit and finish. I'm not too bad but sometimes just want to plod along and "forget" little details.
